Commercial Solar Installation
Reduce business energy costs with commercial solar. Warehouses, offices, retail, and agricultural buildings across Swindon and Wiltshire.
Commercial solar delivers faster payback than residential installations because businesses typically consume most of their electricity during daylight hours, meaning more of what the panels generate gets used directly rather than exported. On top of lower bills, HMRC allows businesses to deduct the full cost of solar panels from taxable profits in year one through the Annual Investment Allowance, significantly improving the post-tax return. For a 50kW system on a Swindon warehouse, the net payback after tax relief can be as short as three years.
Built for business owners and facilities managers
For owner-operators, commercial solar is a straightforward way to cut a large fixed overhead and protect your margins against rising energy prices. For facilities and operations managers, it supports net zero commitments and gives you hard numbers for ESG and carbon reporting. We handle the whole project, from survey and design to installation and grid sign-off, so it takes very little of your team's time.

Return on investment
Commercial solar pays back in a few ways at once. First, every kWh you generate and use on site is a kWh you no longer buy from your supplier, which is the largest saving. Second, surplus you export earns income through the Smart Export Guarantee. Third, the Annual Investment Allowance lets most businesses deduct the full cost of the system from taxable profits in year one, and VAT-registered businesses can recover the VAT. After payback, the panels keep producing for 25 years or more. As a rough worked example, a 50kW system on a Swindon warehouse using 60,000 kWh a year might generate around 47,000 kWh annually. Used on site against a 25p per kWh rate, that is roughly £11,000 a year off the electricity bill, plus export income on anything not consumed. Your survey includes detailed modelling against your actual half-hourly usage so the figures reflect your building, not an average.
